Deputy Mayor Regina Angelo is hoping to find a 35-foot blue spruce that will accommodate the hundreds of lights and decorations placed by the Department of Public Works.
“The holiday spirit is starting to build and there’s nothing better to culminate that feeling but to have a beautiful tree right before Thanksgiving," Angelo said.
The Broadway tree and its lighting is an annual tradition for neighborhood residents who bring their youngsters. Last year residents were given hot chocolate and cookies. Santa, of course, will be on hand as well.
If you have that perfect tree, and would like to donate it to brighten Christmas on Broadway, leave a message for Deputy Mayor Regina Angelo at DPW, 845-565-3297 or call Eliana Diaz at City Hall at 845-569-7301.
